Camp Chase 5/30/2011

Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio. On Memorial day weekend there was a ceremony held at Camp Chase, as were many other cermonies held all over the country to honor our American soldiers and theirr sacrifice for our country.
In 1861 Camp Chase was developed  as a training faciltiy for Union Soldiers. When Camp chase was developed,  it stretched from State Route 40 (now known as Broad St) to the north, Hague Avenue to the east, Sullivant Ave to the south and Westgate Ave to the west. Now it is only the 2 or so acres that encompass the cemetery. At one time there were more than 8,000 men housed there. All that remains is the cemetery, which holds 2,260 graves. There has been a Memrorial Day service held here every year since 1896.

There are many stories of the Lady in Gray, weeping over the grave of her beloved Benjamin F Allen, but on this day we did not see her. We did however catch alot of other activity both before the services and during. We arrived sometime after 1:00 PM to take pictures and try to capture EVP's.
Below you see a man who appears to be in uniform, there were 5 other people at the cemetery at the time and all were in other areas of the cemetery. Original picture to the left, enhanced below. There were two pictures taken 3 seconds apart, the figure is not in the first picture.

In addition, captured on vidoe are a couple of soldiers/prisioners  on the wall, look lcosely, they appear to missing thier legs. Look to the left of the tree in the back. I did not see them in the video while I was shooting it. These were all captured before the ceremony. It was as if they came to join in the memorial.

During and after the ceremony we captured faces on headstones and on the walls.

We also captured this anomoly, it was in the first picture and not the second, pictueres were taken 3 seconds apart.

In October 2010 another ghost hunter from our group captured the following on a visit to Camp Chase after dark.
